Guided closely by the VCAA English Study Design, this course systematically develops students’ analytical and essay writing skills. The focus is on building strong arguments, structured written expression, and coherent reasoning while engaging deeply with literary texts, non-fiction materials, and films. Students will learn to identify and evaluate authorial purpose and stylistic techniques through both modular skill training and full essay practice. Covering all major areas of study, the Year 10 course applies more rigorous assessment and marking standards to prepare students thoroughly for VCE English.
